Nina also worked in residential lending as the broker of a local mortgage bank. She has a nuanced understanding of how to structure the financing of a real estate acquisition or a refinance, so that you can obtain the best financing available. She has a close relationship with various lenders, including lenders making private money loans where institutional lending falls short. She can refer you to the lender which best suits your needs.
Nina is an expert in TIC transactions. She can guide clients through the DRE public report process, understands the complexities of TIC agreements, group vs. fractional loans and condominium conversion. Having worked with TICs since 2003, she has been at the forefront of the proliferation of this form of ownership. It is critical, when buying or selling a TIC, to use an agent with knowledge and experience specific to TICs. For those who are selling an investment property, she can seamlessly guide you through the 1031 exchange process—comparing/analyzing the various re-investment options and allowing you to get into the next deal while deferring taxes.
Nina has remodeled numerous properties. She has design flair and resources for remodeling your home or investment—whether you are doing it on the cheap or designing a luxury estate. Nina can advise you on which improvements yield the best return and which finishes have the broadest appeal in the market place. Mark Biggins specializes in investment real estate brokerage throughout the San Francisco Bay Area. In addition, he is a licensed commercial real estate appraiser and land use consultant. In his role as an appraiser Mark has performed valuations and analysis of over $1.5 Billion worth of commercial real estate assets totaling over 7.5 Million square feet. He is experienced with investment analysis for all product types including multi-family, office, hotel, retail and development sites.
Mark’s experience as an appraiser in the Bay Area gives him the unique ability to identify real estate opportunities for his clients. Mark is able to assist qualified buyers in developing an investment strategy and then aggressively pursue appropriate opportunities, oftentimes in off-market transactions. For sellers, Mark can accurately price assets and diligently oversee the marketing and negotiations to ensure top market price is achieved.

Mark was born and raised in San Diego and has a degree in Political Science from U.C.S.D. He is a licensed real estate broker and real estate appraiser. Prior to his work with Metropolitan Properties, Mark was an acquisition analyst and project manager with Caspian Partners, LLC, a San Francisco-based boutique development company specializing in multi-family and medical office properties. Prior to that, he was a research associate with The CoStar Group. Mark is a member of the Urban Land Institute (ULI) and the San Francisco Planning and Urban Research Association (SPUR). Mark also volunteers for the Presidio Trust and the Surfrider Foundation. He currently resides in San Francisco.
